Healing Metta Meditation for the World

Hello Everyone, hope you are enjoying your Summer.  With so much turmoil going on around the world I want to share a beautiful loving kindness meditation that will heal our hearts and will help heal everyone around the world.


This is also known as Metta Meditation.  Metta is a Sanscrit word that means Loving Kindness. I have practiced and taught this Meditation for the past 20 years.  I have used this for healing myself, my family, my friends and everyone around the world when healing is needed.

HEALING METTA MEDITATION:
Sitting in a comfortable position, keeping your eyes softly closed with your awareness at your heart, hold these intentions in your heart and repeat the phrases silently 5-15 times:
1. For Yourself. Silently Repeat:
“May I dwell in the heart… May I be at peace…  May I be free from suffering… May I be healed” 
2. Picture your Family and loved ones. Silently Repeat:
“May you dwell in the heart… May you be at peace…  May you be free from suffering… May you be healed” 
3. Picture all your Friends. Silently Repeat:
“May you dwell in the heart… May you be at peace…  May you be free from suffering… May you be healed” 
4. Think of all your Coworkers, colleagues and classmates. Silently Repeat:
May you dwell in the heart… May you be at peace…  May you be free from suffering… May you be healed” 
5. Think of all those you see on a Daily Basis, Postal Service Workers, Store Clerks, Bank Tellers, Firefighters, Police Officers, Crosswalk Attendants, Sanitation Workers, etc. Silently Repeat:
“May you dwell in the heart… May you be at peace…  May you be free from suffering… May you be healed”
6. Think of anyone who may have caused you pain or people you consider your Adversaries,  Silently Repeat:
“May you dwell in the heart… May you be at peace…  May you be free from suffering… May you be healed”
7. Think of Everyone in all countries from around the World. Silently Repeat:
“May you dwell in the heart… May you be at peace…  May you be free from suffering… May you be healed”
8. Think of all Sentient Beings living (Sentient =  Capable of Feeling) on Earth. Silently Repeat:
“May you dwell in the heart… May you be at peace…  May you be free from suffering… May you be healed”
This healing meditation really works, please take 10 minutes each day over the next few weeks to send this Healing Metta Meditation out into the World.  Whether it be first thing in the morning, sometime during the day or in the evening.ClaireChopra
